    I awaited thee till my death: Muneeb Maqsood

    In a town a beautiful and innocent girl lived whose smile was lost. She had not expressed her smile to anyone, but there was a boy who was her neighbor had a wish to see her smile on her lips. The boy loved the girl more than his life and chased her everywhere she went for only beholding her smile, but could not see.

    However, every night boy thought ideas for bringing her smile back, but failed. Boy didn’t give up and once in a night an idea flashed into his mind and he tried to make her his friend. After struggling hard the boy was succeeded making friendship with her. Days passed and they became very close to each other. They both watched movies, sang songs but the smile on her lips was lost. Once the boy asked her for smiling, she responded, “Why?” Boy answered, “I want to see you smiling when I saw you I had a wish to see your smile.” She refused to smile and said, “When the time comes, I will smile.” Said and went home. Boy became sad and went home as well, but the girl didn’t know that boy loved her.

    Further, he failed a lots of time; still he did not give up his hope. Days changed into months and months changed into years, but the boy failed to see her smile. Every day the boy asked her for smiling, but one day when the boy had the statement of smiling, the girl got angry and wailed at him. It was the last moment of their friendship because after that their friendship broken into pieces. But still boy did not give up. Once in a night he was thinking and he went in a deep thinking for how to make her smile, he thought a lot and next morning he was unable to wake up because he was no more. Because of thinking a lot, his brain got damaged and he passed away. He had been taken to graveyard, people lowered him into grave along with his incomplete wish and buried him.

    On the other hand, when she got the news of his death she could not control disliking herself and felt very guilty. She regreted why she had refused smiling at that day while the boy tried for it a lot. She directly went near his grave, but the boy was buried, she cried and smile for him, but boy could not see her smile because he was buried. The soul of boy gone and she with her nonstop smiling didn’t move anywhere. From that day, she started spending a happily life and she smiled with everyone.
