Students need justice in Balochistan: Muhammad Zarif
Undoubtedly, students are the future of any nation, and they are the maker of a country. The future of a country is always in the hands of pupils. Unfortunately, bookworms are in chaotic state in Pakistan due to not getting their birth rights.
Sadly, scholars are often seen spending most of their times on the roads every next day in the corner of mother land. Postgraduate are seen with banners demanding their rights.
Particularly, in Balochistan, students are suffering colossally because of not receiving their basic requirements. They are always seen staging sit-in and holding hunger strike.
Of late, BMC students sat on hunger strike, and due to arrogant attitude of the administration, the hunger strike lasted almost a month. Number of students witnessed an increase because of hunger strike. In the long run, they met with their demands.
Apart from this, students started protests for resumption of their scholarships in Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) some two months ago, but went in vain.
Punjab province has given limited scholarships for undergraduates from Balochistan. Now they are not getting these countable scholarships. The administration of B.Z.U has stopped scholarships, which is need of hour.
Unfortunately, officials of the university did not listen them. They became compel to do long March from Multan towards Islamabad for the resumption of scholarships.
It hurts to see the poor condition of these long marching students. A sole second is precious for a learner because of this serious issue, and they took this unbearable step.
They started their long March yesterday from Multan towards Islamabad, which is 538 kilo metres. It is hard to go such a far distance on foot.
Therefore, It is humbly requested to Prime Minister Imran Khan to take an immediate action and solve these long lasting problems that are being faced by the students of Balochistan.
