Reasons behind low standard education system in Balochistan: Muhammad Zarif
Balochistan is rich enough province in Pakistan in terms of natural resources, but still suffers with multiple problems. Particularly, education is one of the biggest problems in the province.
It upsets to see the poor literacy rate; the literacy rate in the province is 39 precent, which demands serious steps.
Lack of proper facilities and scarcity of basic needs have devastated the whole education system in Balochistan. Like lwise, many schools lack rooms, teachers, boundaries, toilets, libraries, pure drinking water, and science lab.
According to a servey, in the province, 36 precent schools are deprived of water, 56 precent schools do not have electricity, and 15 precent schools have turned into ghost schools.
A massive number of students at a number of schools in the province are taught by poorly-trained and untrained teachers, teachers who are appointed due to political influence, and that is why, these unfortunate students are not being in the way they must be otherwise be, as it is their one of the fundamental rights.
Shortage of science teachers is one of the biggest problems of the poor system of education in the province. Many schools are lack science teachers.
Specially, rural areas girls are forced to sew clothes, and they are behind four walls, as they are not allowed to gain education. They are made home machine and forced to do the demostic works.
On the other hand, cheating is another towring cause of dismal condition of the education system in Balochistan. It is very common at the time of exams.
Examination and admission fee structure is an other reason behind low grade of education method in the loaded natural resources province. Due to high fee structure, destitute pupils can not afford to seek knowledge.
Joylessly, there is a little chance of scholarships for students who can’t afford costly education, and scholarships are unaccessible to them.
Ratio of gender inequality, gender discrimination puts a huge gap in the field of education. In rural areas, where women are not made for the education due to narrow mindness thought.
Lack of quality text books is also a main condition behind poor education network in Balochistan.
Both importance and requirement of guidance as well as proper selection of subjects matter a lot, and it is one of main failures of schooling system in the area.
Last but not the least, poverty is an other sort behind worst education system in Balochistan. Private schools are out of approach for pauper condition people. The broken condition of government institutions already made the minds of residencs wastage of time and energy.
